Programs
                           Daily Activities at Pied Piper

The daily schedule includes two circle times with songs and music, a story time, and
lots of time for free-choice activities.  Regular activities include: art, science, music,
language, fine and gross motor skills, and snack.  Children are introduced to the
world around them as represented in nature and in people through hands-on
activities and special guests.

A daily program includes both indoor and outdoor activities in small and large
groups.  Children in the older session also go on field trips to places like a post
office, a walking trail and a pumpkin patch.

The afternoon program is run by the Assistant Director and an Enrichment Aide,
and allows a smaller group of children to spend a longer time at school playing ,
eating lunch, and having circle time.

Parent Duties

Pied Piper is a cooperative preschool in
which the parents are actively involved in the

as one of several "aides", to holding
committee or board positions.  This allows
the parents to get to know the Pied Piper
community as well as helping to keep down
our costs.

Parent Co-Op Requirements:

    school every two weeks.
  2. Attend monthly parent meetings.
  3. Eight hours of maintenance (two 4-
    hour  weekend shifts) per year
    (buyout available).
  4. Six hours fund raising per year
    (buyout  available).
  5. Hold a committee or board position.

     *    Non co-op positions are available.
